Attems: a name that evokes the history of wine in Friuli Venezia Giulia. In fact, the first document confirming the possession of lands for viticultural purposes in the Collio area by the Attems dynasty dates back to 1106 and the production of Ribolla Gialla and Refosco is recorded in the master books of 1764. A millennial tradition that has made this winery a reference point throughout the and whose protagonist was Count Douglas Attems, who was credited with having founded the Consorzio dei Vini del Collio Consortium in 1964.

The history of Attems is so interwoven with history: from the Patriarchate of Aquileia to the County of Gorizia, from the First World War to the present day.

Since 2000, Attems has been the property of the Marchesi Frescobaldi family, who continues to manage it respecting its peculiar characteristics.
